The Plaquemines Community C.A.R.E. Centers Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Crossroads of Parenting and Divorce seminar will be returning to our Belle Chasse office on Friday, August 9, 2019. Through a grant from The Louisiana Children's Trust Fund, we are able to offer this workshop absolutely FREE to residents of Plaquemines Parish! Crossroads of Parenting and Divorce is offered in a one-day, six-hour format and provides opportunity for parents to learn effective, cooperative strategies to mitigate emotional harm that befalls children and family members navigating the often difficult process of divorce.

Topics of discussion include but are not limited to:

Understanding how divorce impacts children

Identifying divorce abuse

Effective strategies to prevent divorce abuse

Keeping kids out of the middle of divorce conflict

Valuing the other parent

Disengaging from the former partner as spouse and re-aligning as co-parents
