Probation and Diversion Programs

The CARE Center works with the Plaquemines District Attorney’s Office and Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office to provide Probation, Misdemeanor, and Diversion Programs to adults. These programs are offered by the DA to certain offenders who qualify for participation as an alternative to prosecution. Participants receive coordinated assistance through a mandated amount of personal or group counseling sessions.

Through the CARE Center, individuals on probation or entering Misdemeanor and Diversion Programs may receive assessment, counseling, substance abuse education, and/or domestic violence intervention services.
