Plaquemines Community CARE Center will once again be the Plaquemines site for United Way's VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program
/The Plaquemines Community CARE Center will once again be the Plaquemines site for United Way's VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program beginning this Friday, February 8, for 5 FRIDAYS ONLY from 9:30am-1:30pm. The volunteers will provide this service at the CARE Center on the following Fridays - February 8, March 15, March 22, March 29, and April 12.
VITA offers free person to person tax help to people who earned less than $56,000. The VITA program offers free tax help to individuals, families, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances this site will not be opening as shown in the United Way brochure.
CURRENTLY THE DATES WE WILL BE HERE WILL BE FRIDAYS ONLY 9:30-1:30 on the following dates
February 8th, March 15th, 22nd, and 29th, also April 12th.
