1. Identify the common characteristics and symptoms of ADHD and trauma in children and understand how they overlap and interact.

2. Differentiate between ADHD, trauma, and co-occurring symptoms in order to make accurate diagnoses.

3. Understand the impact of trauma on a child’s cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning, particularly in the context of ADHD.

4. Learn trauma-informed treatment strategies that are tailored for children with ADHD.

5. Develop skills for creating a therapeutic environment that addresses both ADHD and trauma in a holistic, supportive manner.

6. Gain practical tools for working with families and schools to support children with ADHD and trauma histories.
