3-hour Ethics CE opportunity for counseling professionals and students, held via live synchronous Zoom webinar on Friday, June 12, 2026, @ 9:30a – 12:30p CT.

Rest for the Soul is a reflective and restorative workshop designed to help participants intentionally put down the many tasks, roles, and responsibilities that accumulate throughout the day. Together, we explore how decreasing the number of “hats” we wear supports emotional balance, clarity, and well-being. The session emphasizes that rest is essential—not only for caring for ourselves, but also for sustaining the capacity to care for others.

Grounded in counselor ethics, this workshop highlights the ethical responsibility of self-care, the role of professional boundaries, and the importance of monitoring wellness to ensure competent and effective practice. Participants will learn to differentiate rest from sleep, understand why rest is a productive and necessary part of healthy functioning, and challenge the belief that constant movement equals success.

Learning Objectives:
1. After attending this presentation, attendees will be able to identify 7 essential types of rest
2. Attendees will be able to align ethical principles with the concept of rest.
3. Attendees will identify the ethical principles that should guide professionals to prevent neglectful practices.
4. Attendees will be able to evaluate their habits and boundaries, professionally and personally.
